Medical Asst - PC Westchester Prac - Full-Time,Day - Prairie MG 2434 - Westchester,IL

 

General Schedule:  Typcial hours can vary, however, typical schedule is: Monday 8:30 to 5:00, Tues/Thursday can be all day 8:00 to 4:30 or late start and work till 7:30, Wed - 8:00 to 4:00, Friday 8:30 to 5:00.  Every other Sat. and then a day off during the week.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to

Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Medical Assistant. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • Comfortable doing blood draws, vaccines, injections
  • Previous Family Practice experience is preferred
  • Medical Certifcation is preferred
